Goodreads confirms I read 70 books in 2019. Of course, the year isn’t over yet and a week remains. so the total may increase by one or two.

That said, statistics collected by Goodreads reveal I read 17,874 pages, with an average book length of 255 pages. The average rating I gave books for 2019 is 3.5 stars, and the highest-rated book I read was Cheryl Stritzel McCarthy’s Many Hands Make Light Work: A Memoir, which is interesting, as that was the only ARC I’ve ever received or read.

My 2020 reading goals are going to be significantly different than in years past. Instead of trying to read a large variety of books, and finish each I start, I am instead going to turn my attention to finishing 24 4-star or better books.
