Having long ago learned to prioritize reading what I want, as opposed to hitting a specific numeric target, I finished 65 titles in 2025. Because I wasn’t chasing numbers, I felt free to invest time reading longer books, such as Ron Chernow’s 1,200-page Mark Twain.
