Although more than three months remain in the year, I’ve read 50 books (of 50 planned) so far in 2024. Here’s the list:

Among my favorites so far are Michael Richards’ impressive autobiography. Unlike many biographies that recount a scattering of behind-the-scenes tidbits and a few potentially controversial takes, I found Richards’ book sincere, insightful and refreshing and devoid of common tropes and predictable anecdotes. The Three-Body Problem, meanwhile, left me feeling I’d missed something others found rewarding, while poet Ted Kooser’s works all proved worthy of five-stars due to their ability to capture everyday experiences in a meaningful way. John Green’s The Anthropocene Reviewed was wonderful, too, and should be required reading for just about everyone.
